It's a GIRL!!!

It has officially been confirmed, IT'S A GIRL!!!!! We are finally 100% that it we will soon have a baby girl! Her name will be Addison. She currently weighs 10 ounces and is facing feet down. She is measuring 19 weeks and will still be due on Feb. 23, 2010 even though we are 5 days ahead of schedule.

They did a complete anatomy scan and she looks great! The only thing they found that we will have to pay close attention to is the placement of the placenta. It is what they call a low line placenta. The placenta should be up top, but mine is low and covering part of my cervix. The Dr said 90% of the time it will move up on its own, if not then I will have to have a c section. They will do another sono towards the end to see if it moved on its own. My blood pressure was actually lower than it has been!! Hooray hopefully it stays that way.

I can not believe how much my tummy has finally popped out, and the scale yesterday definatley proved it. 7 pounds in ONE month!!!!! Wow!!! The Dr said that it is fine that I'm pregnant and thats what happens. I'm glad she wasn't freaking out because I sure was. I guess it all just suddenly came on, because before yesterday I had only gained 1 pound.

I also got to finally meet my new Dr yesterday! Her name is Dr. Stephanie Shisler. She says just call her Dr. Steph. She was awesome!!! So layed back and down to earth. What a relief!!

I will post sono pictures from yesterday in the next few days!! My next appt. is Oct 21st. Hopefully I will get to really feel some first kicks or movement soon and I will also post that! I can't wait!!! I LOVE being pregnant!!!

26 more hours!!

26 more hours, but whose counting??? I have my dr. appt tomorrow and we will finally get to confirm the sex of the baby!!! I can hardly wait. I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately, but not too much is going on until this last week. This past week my stomach has really started to poke out. I'm finally starting to look pregnant!! I'm feeling good and just trying to enjoy every moment of this pregnancy!

I am so excited about being a mommy. I never realized how much love you can have for a child that you haven't even seen and doesn't even have a name yet. It's truly AMAZING!!! I just can't even imagine what it will be like when I finally meet her! I can hardly wait for that moment! I just hope that I will be just as good of a Mom as my Mom was to me. I feel so fortunate to be blessed with such an awesome Mom and hope that I can do the same for Addison ( or Bryce). Okay enough of that, oh and by the way have I told you how emotional I have been lately!! Haha!! Can ya tell?? Anyways, I will update you all after tomorrow's appointment!!!

14 Week Appointment

I had my 14 week appt to find out that we are measuring more like 15 or 16 weeks. She is having me do a sono at my next appt. to reevalute the due date. She said that I'm measuring atleast 1 week later, if not two. So maybe we will be looking closer to the beginning or middle of Feb!! Yeah, I hope they move it sooner. I can't wait to meet her. I am also excited about having another sono so that I can see her, but also they should be able to confirm the gender. Other than that everything looks good!!!

My next appt is September 23rd.

Could it be a GIRL????

We went in for our screening today. The baby appears prefectly healthy and everything has developed well. The HB was 160 and she measures 3.5 inches. It was so cool to see her this time. She was waving her arm, kicking, and she kept opening and closing her mouth the whole time. Maybe she will be just like her mama, a big mouth!! haha! As you can see in the picture her mouth was wide open during this shot. We also got to actually hear the hb this time! This really is amazing and I am loving it so much.

So while the doctor was doing the sono I asked him if he had a guess as to what the sex was. He told me that he can't be 100% sure at this time, but he guessed girl. I asked him how sure he was and he said 90% sure!!! I am soooo excited. I already bought a little pink dress, I couldn't help it. I just figured I would keep the receipts just in case they tell me differently at my next sono. The big sono where they will confirm the sex will be in about 6 more weeks. So for now I'm thinking PINK!!! Honestly the Dr. seemed pretty confident, so we'll see.

As far as how I'm feeling....I'm feeling great. This past week has been a huge improvement. I have more energy and just feel a million times better! The past few days I have really been feeling weird things in my tummy. It really feels like things are stretching in there! I told Jason today, you know your tummy is getting bigger when your elastic waist pants are feeling tight!! Haha! I can't wait to really start showing, right now I just look like have eaten one too many candy bars!

Take care everyone!!!

P.S. oh yeah, I'm now in my second trimester!! Hooray!!!

Cross your fingers and say a prayer!!

Well, we go in next Wed. (the 19th) for some screenings. This will be a sonogram and blood work to test for down syndrome and other abnormalities. The doctor said that there is a good chance that we may find out the sex of the baby during the sonogram!!! I asked her if that is really possible at only 13 weeks pregnant. She said yes because they use a high tec sonogram machine which gives you a very clear picture of the baby. They don't have the equipment to do this in the office so I have to go to the hospital to have it done. So, pray for a) the screening to come back normal and b) that the baby cooperates and that we can tell the sex. I will post the results as soon as I know!!!!

10 week Dr. Appt/ new buys

I had a doctor's appointment this past Wed. I love going to these appointments. Jason went with me this time, and I am so glad that he did because we got another sonogram. We were not planning on having a sono, but the Dr. couldn't find the heart beat . When the sonographer did started the sono she said," well I can see why the doc couldn't find the heartbeat, because you have a very actice baby in there!" The baby was moving around so much that it made it difficult to find the heartbeat. I was a little freaked out when she couldn't find it, but was glad we did the sono and everything was okay and we got to see the baby again!! The heartbeat was 169Bpm. Everyone says that with a hb that high, that it's a girl. I guess we will have to wait and see!

Baby is developing perfectly and we are right on target as far as development!!! My next appointment is Aug. 26th.

After the doctors appointmnent we went to a huge consignment sell. It was so fun!! Grandma met us there and bought the baby's crib, swing, play mat, and a little bouncer seat!! Thanks Mom!!! I am so happy with everything that we bought. So, now we have a crib in the house, wow I can't beleive it. Reality has set in!

We are just so excited about the baby and can't wait to find out if we'll have a son or daughter!!

Nothing much going on

Well, there really isn't much happening, but I thought I would write something so that you wouldn't think I forgot.

I'm really feeling pretty good. I never got morning sickness which makes me very happy! My pants are beginning to feel a little snug here in the last week or so. I guess it's time to break down and get some maternity pants!

We are really excited about next Wed. Jason is taking the day off to go to my dr's appointment with me. I really hope that we get to hear the heartbeat!! I am 9 weeks now, so I will be 10 weeks at the appointment. We are also going to this gigantic consignment sale after the appointment. They only have this sale two times a year and I am really hoping to find a lot of baby stuff. I can't wait to start baby shopping. So hopefully I will have a lot to post after next Wed.

Baby's First Picture!!

What an exciting day!!! I had my first OB appointment. This is a picture of baby's first picture. It really looks more like a peanut than a baby right now, but it is still neat. If you look closely you will see two stars, there is one at each end of the baby. Our due date is Feb. 23, 2010. We are 6weeks and 1 day today. It was really cool to see the baby's heart beating during the sonogram. It just looked like a little flicker. The baby's heart was beating 120 bpm, which is good! Everything looks awesome!

The only concern right now is that my blood pressure was pretty high. it was 143/95. Hopefully it will go back down! Other than that, I am feeling really good.

My next appointment is July 29th.

I will keep you all posted! We are soooooo excited!!!

The BIG Scare!!

Well, this last Saturday evening was very scary for us. I began bleeding quite a bit of blood. Jason took me to the ER, because I thought I was miscarrying. Thank God everything is okay. The ultrasound showed that the baby is nearly 6 weeks, placement is good, and even the heart rate was excellent. There was no blood around the baby at all. We still are not sure where the bleeding is coming from, but the doctor says that it must be old blood from the implantation at the very beginning of the pregnancy and it just got lodged inside me and apparently didn't make its way out. So we were very scared!!! We are so glad that everything was okay with the baby and thrilled that the baby is developing perfectly. I was put on bed rest for today, but will be heading back to work tomorrow!! Have a great week everyone!!

Baby on Board

Well, as many of you know, Jason and I are expecting!!! We are sooooo excited. Jason and I would like for all of our friends and family to be able to go through this amazing journey with us. That is our purpose in creating this blog.

We just got our first positive pregnancy test this last Friday. According to the books, our due date will be Feb. 23, 2010. We told Dustin and Trista about the big news and they are both very excited!

I called the Dr. today and scheduled my first appointment, it will be July 1st. I believe this is just a quick appointment just to confirm the pregnancy, but I will be sure to let you all know.

So far I don't really feel pregnant. The only real symptom that I have had is, exhaustion. I am so tired and sleepy. Hopefully I don't get morning sickness and all that junk, I guess we will have to wait and see. Thats it for now but we will keep you all posted!!! Love Ya'll!!!
